It’s official: I am leaving Popular Mechanics for…
If I had a time machine and could go back and tell 17-year-old Seth that he’d someday work at Maxim magazine, I’m not quite sure what he’d say. (Or if he’d believe me.)
But anyway, it’s official: After almost four years at Popular Mechanics, I am moving on to a new job at Maxim, where I will be serving as senior editor. I’ll still be covering new products/technology/gear/gadgets/tools (amongst all the other good stuff in Maxim), so if you are a gatekeeper of information in those fields, definitely keep me on your lists.
I’m finishing off a few weeks at Pop Mech, and will be officially starting at Maxim on April 18th. Not sure what my email will be yet, but I’m guessing it’ll be something along the lines of sporges (at) maxim (dot) com.
If you know me, you know I loved working at Pop Mech. It was one of the best jobs I could have imagined, where I spent my days in a great office with a fantastic and brilliant group of people who I’ve become very close to. And while I leave with a bit of sadness, I can’t help but be excited about the move. I mean: It’s Maxim. MAXIM!
